There is no set time as it depends on what you are able to offer and the age of the child and what level of school they are in. We do encourage people to think seriously about sponsorship with the aim to make it a long term commitment.

Without sponsorhsip the child may not be able to attend school. This limits their future prospects. When you sponsor a child they are able to receive food, education, social interaction and they are given the gift of a future. For these children the relationship to a sponsor also provides them with hope and confidence in themselves and engrains the importance of education.

With our child sponsorship program 100% of the money goes to the child's education, this money is for the school fees, cost of boarding where relevant and their uniform and requirements. We do not make any money off child sponsorship and provide receipts for all money spent. In Uganda even children only attending school during the day are required to provide things like sugar, toilet paper and school supplies. These costs will be clearly outlined.

We provide you with receipts, photos and consistent updates. Many sponsors enjoy seeing the children's reports and progress at school which we are happy to share with you also. All the children we support through sponsorship are known to us and sponsorship is done in conjunction with the family of the child.

We encourage sponsors to know their sponsor child if they choose to. Often the child and family want to share with the sponsor about the child's progress and milestones.

Yes, of course! Some people find the cost of sponsorship a barrier, but you can easily share the cost with family or friends whatever way you choose.

Usually we work with the child, the family and locals who know the best school for the child to attend. Where they have previously been at school and stopped due to money we prioritise them returning to a school they are familiar with. Boarding school is very common here, and due to distance it is often preferred for children in the later years of primary and secondary school.
